Bury Council Careers Fair 2019

The Bury Apprenticeship Working Group is pleased to invite you to participate in the Bury Careers Fair 2019. The event will take place on Wednesday 25 September at the Elizabethan Suite, Bury Town Hall and will be held between 3.00pm and 7.00pm.

We want employers to be involved as much as possible to talk about what they do and the opportunities available for young people. If you would like to participate in the Bury Careers Fair 2019, please can you reply to Roger Pakeman at r.pakeman@bury.gov.uk.

Hear from The GC Business Growth Hub, Made Smarter and the University of Manchester about the sector-specific support available for Greater Manchester manufacturers at the Bury Means Business Eventbrite - Manufacturing Your Future in Bury event.

Plus, learn more about graphene and how the University of Manchester can assist your business to explore and apply it in a wide range of applications.



The North West Premier Business Fair

All sectors are represented including business and professional services, construction services, education & training, finance and insurance, retail & wholesale, manufacturing & engineering, transport & distribution plus many other services. The event will take place on 10th October at Stables Country Club, Bolholt Hotel Complex, Walshaw Rd, Bury BL8 1PU between 4.00pm and 7.00pm.

Visiting The North West Premier Business Fair is free of charge and there are lots of networking and business opportunities.


Brexit: Immigration Changes & Settlement Scheme

Tuesday 1st October 10:00 - 12:00, Elizabethan Suite, Bury Town Hall.

This free session will cover the practical arrangements arising from:

  • The EU Settlement Scheme
  • No deal immigration arrangements for EU citizens arriving after Brexit
  • The UK's future skills-based immigration system                        

And give businesses the opportunity to highlight the areas that will need addressing in order to minimise any disruption.
