Bury 2030How would you like Bury to look by 2030?
Bury Council and its partners have high hopes for the future. We're working on a plan that will set out ambitious proposals for the next 10 years and we want them to be based on what residents, businesses, the community and voluntary sector say is needed.
There's lots to be proud of already. We want to build on our achievements to date to ensure we can meet future challenges like climate change, house affordability and demographic changes.
We need to understand how people living, working and studying in Bury today, feel about the place and what their hopes for the future are. This isn't just about the physical environment or facilities but other issues like education, jobs and health.
We all have a role to play in making Bury the place we want it be, so we also want to know what part you could play.
The Bury Market Charter dates back to the 1440's and to this day markets are run every week in Bury, Radcliffe and Ramsbottom.
