Trewan Sands Children’s Trust Celebrates 20 Years of Supporting Families

Bury-based children's charity, Trewan Sands Children’s Trust is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2026, marking two decades of providing vital support to families across the UK with children aged 0-18 who have disabilities, serious illnesses and life-limiting conditions.
The charity offers holidays, short breaks, day trips and memorable experiences that give families valuable time together and the chance to create lasting memories. So far in 2026, Trewan Sands has already supported 17 families, with more holidays planned throughout the year.
As a charity funded entirely through donations, local support remains crucial. Through community events, fundraising activities and volunteer involvement, residents and businesses across Bury continue to help make a real difference.
To mark this milestone year and raise funds for future support, the charity is hosting a Charity Masquerade Ball on 31 October at The Village Hotel, Bury. The event is seeking sponsorships and donations to maximise fundraising, ensuring every possible pound raised goes towards providing life-changing experiences for children with serious illnesses and their families.
